 Unique Joint Venture Twist: Make Huge Profits Even If You Have No Money, No Products, and No List

In its simplest form, you partner with someone else: You either sell their product to your customer base or they sell your product to theirs.

The true power of this lies in the fact that it's much easier to sell a product to an existing customer, rather than going out and trying to get another customer.

What if you could use joint venture marketing without having a product, very little money, and little or no customer list?

You could hook up the owner with other Internet marketers who have an existing customer base, and get a commission from the sales.

If the product has a two-tier affiliate program, you simply sign up as an affiliate. You automatically get commissions from the sales of the marketers you convinced to promote the product (who sign up under you).

If you're hooking the product owner up with marketers who have a huge customer base, try to negotiate a higher commission than the normal second level commission.

If the product owner currently does not have an affiliate program, simply approach the owner--make a proposal to get a specific commission on any sales from the partners you bring to him.

Secret #1: A JV "Proposal" is a PROCESS – Not Just a Letter

When I contact another business about a JV, the first thing I do is ask myself, "What are they looking for?" – and it’s NOT always money, believe it or not...

Then I make the first contact by simply asking them "Where should I send a proposal?". This works just as effectively for individual prospects as it does for huge corporations. It will generate a response almost every time, and it makes you seem more familiar and legitimate to them.

They’ll also be expecting - and possibly even anticipating - your proposal (instead of just getting it jammed into their inbox without warning, like 99% of proposals that people get).

Then I use Chapter 14 of Ultimate Joint Ventures (by Gabriel Howes) as a guide for writing my actual proposal. This part is absolutely crucial, because it will "make" or "break" your offer in their eyes, and you only get one chance to do it right.

The proposals that I’ve put together using the specific strategies in Gabriel’s book have continually proven themselves over and over again. In fact, in 4 days (at the time of writing this), I will be attending a conference call with my client and the VP of a massive corporation interested in integrating our service with their products. This firm has over 10,000 employees and literally over a million clients in the legal market.

The proposals I’ve written have also worked just as effectively with individual website owners. In fact, I just recently finalized a successful JV yesterday (March 24, 2006) with the owner of a popular "tech" blog for a related product.

Secret #2: Approach the Biggest, Most Successful Businesses FIRST

Contrary to popular belief, it’s actually not hard to partner with big companies, popular marketers or other "gurus".

In fact, you’re wasting your time if you don’t FIRST approach those that can help you the most...

As I mentioned before, what I do when I approach the "big guns" is I build rapport with them somehow. Basically, this involves some form of regular, brief communication.

(It’s not rocket science. Whether it’s as simple as sending over a compliment, an encouragement – or even letting them know about a broken link on their site – stuff like that can literally lead to becoming a life-long business partner with them.)

There’s one little "trick" that I use in all of my corresponding emails and so on that makes a huge impact. And it’s so subtle that your potential partner wouldn’t be able to pick it up – even under the "microscope"...

(And yes, this will work on anyone – even the biggest corporations or the most popular "gurus")
