Can You Capitalize on Your Leads?

Lesson 1

One of the greatest benefits of an autoresponder is that you can use it for mailing list management. It's like putting permission marketing on steroids! ...and you don't have to worry about the email commissioner ending your season :-)

In other words, you can use your autoresponder to collect a list of opt-in email addresses for publishing an eZine, delivering e-courses, distributing free ebooks and software, making announcements, or sending out special offers!

Autoresponders allow you to continually promote to an ever-growing base of subscribers that you establish over time. Of course, before starting the process you need to start capturing those emails.

The Internet changes everything when it comes to lead generation! Unlike any other method, email is lightning fast and laser targeted...

With permission marketing and not s.pam (i.e., where people opt-in and voluntarily come forward to ask for your information first before you mail them), email is highly targeted!

Your email is highly focused on the interests of the prospect right from the start. And, the more tightly targeted your list is the more profitable it can become.

How to Start Building Your List...

Building an opt-in list is done by compiling the names and email addresses (or whatever information you want) of people that have given you permission to email them with information (or products) that is related to what they asked for. People who subscribe to your list not only get an in.stant reply or a series of follow-ups thereafter, but they can also get newsletter, free gifts, special announcements and offers, the list truly goes on and on.

Building a quality, "targeted" list of leads is possibly the single most important thing you can do for your business. There's no argument that a list of highly targeted, highly responsive leads is the best asset you can own. (Yes  you own your list so treat it like an expensive collectors car that you paid hundreds of thousands for)

The best way to generate repeat visitors to your site is to ask for their email addresses. The easiest way is by offering an opt-in F0RM to some kind of publication, eCourse or viral ebook. If you choose the latter then you will want to make it brandible. Your prospects will pass it along much quicker if they can brand it with their links.

At the very least, you should publish a periodic eZine to inform your list of new product updates, major internet news or website changes. It doesnt need to be fancy and it certainly shouldn't be filled with advertisements. By sending out small bits of information and updates you'll stand a better chance of having your email read and you'll keep your subscribers longer.

Whichever option you choose one thing is absolutely certain - you must begin to build your opt-in list right away, and do whatever you can (legally and ethically that is) to collect people's email addresses and their permission to email them... And avoid S.PAM at all costs!

Why is avoiding S.PAM so important? Realize that the big money in internet marketing (no matter what your niche is) is not in the one-time sa!e (as it might be with s.pam  if you manage to even make a sa!e) but in the life-time value of a customer. People who buy from you can do so again and again (and many of them will)... especially if you keep them informed, keep them interested and keep them influenced!

Many of the following techniques may seem patently obvious to you, but they are often overlooked. To attain your best outcome you should try to use them all or as many as you can to build and manage your lists!

Realize that your autoresponder's database may be comprised of numerous types of people. For instance, it may include one or several lists consisting of customers, prospects and subscribers.

1. Customers

Unless your business is entirely new, you likely have a list of customers right n0w (if you are not creating a list of customers you are missing the boat on potential profits). Your customers' names and email addresses will create the most excellent list you will ever own. Why? Once they buy from you, their suspicions are down (providing, that is, they were satisfied with what they bought). A trust has already been established and a relationship has been built. Current customers are poised to purchase from you again in the future.

Never ever abandon your "profitable" customer base!

You've already spent time, money and energy to come by your customers so when you try to sell to them again those resources (time, money, energy) are practically nothing especially the money part. Remember, your customers have already been acquired, have already purchased from you and a potentially life-long relationship is already being established.

If you don't have the email addresses of your customers, then you need to start compiling them. First, you should ask all your new customers' email addresses from this point on. The best way to make sure that you have your customers in your database from this day forward is to create a simple product registration page. It will generally only add about 5 seconds to the purchase process for the customer but it will practically guarantee you that you will have their name and real email address.

I use TrafficWave manager for product and autoresponder tasks. The software is easy and extremely user friendly. TrafficWave automatically generates a product Registration/Opt-in Page and will add the information to the autoresponder of your choice.

And with the TrafficWave autoresponder you can also collect all types of information, like first names, last names, addresses, etc, which you can add to your emails! You also have an Unlimited amount of Autoresponders. Whether you need just one autoresponder or a thousand, it's available!

In Addition:

  • Unlimited Campaigns.
  • Unlimited Follow Up Letters

There is a tremendous amount of power in personalization!

Then start "monetizing" your opt-in list! For instance, make backend offers, joint venture offers, even endorsed offers (such as with a product you are an affiliate with) and so on!

    2. Prospects

If you're not doing it already then you should start compiling the email addresses of "hot" prospects, too. If they want more information, they're identifying themselves as interested at the very least. These are emails you definitely want to collect. Those enthusiastic prospects receive not only an in.stant reply with the information they asked for and a series of follow-ups (if you've set it up that way).

One important thing to remember is to n.ever let their hot button cool off. Keep them excited, keep them interested, keep them influenced. Remember, it's not uncommon for you to have to send several messages to these prospects since they may not buy from you after the first, fifth, or even the seventh contact. And the possible reasons are many... maybe they don't have the time, or the money maybe they just got distracted (remember, your prospects lives are filled with unexpected events just as yours is). Multiple contacts is one way around this. Perhaps all you need to do to make a sa!e to these people is simply to get your message in front of them at the right time. If they are not on your list or if you are not following up with them then this will be impossible.

But these N0W "warm" prospects might be in a better position to buy from you in the future, or they may even be interested in something else you offer. Or they may become great referral sources. In fact, whether they are interested or not, or they ask for more information or not, they should also become subscribers to your ezine or hot sheet you send out on a regular basis.

A strategy I've used in the past is to send a sequence of emails to these prospects offering an extra bonus or maybe a special discount. For instance, I was selling a product for $67.00 a few years ago and had a great conversion rate from a $20 discount I offered to my prospect list. I captured the leads with a limited version of the product I was selling. The prospects then received a series of follow up emails over the next 45 days. I added 3 bonuses on emails 4,5 and 6 then I offered a $10 discount on email #7. On email #8 I gently reminded the prospect that this was their last chance to purchase the product with all the bonuses and I then added a $20 discount to the offer. The conversion rate was over eight percent on that last email alone.

    3. Subscribers

In addition to your customers, non-customers and prospects, you can also start building a list of -in subscribers! They can join your list in return for getting something free. It is highly recommended by nearly every online marketer that you place a signup box for your newsletter or eZine on every page of your web site if you don't, your visitors who don't purchase are slipping away and will likely n.ever return!

Think about it this way. The average conversion rate for a product under $50 is about 2%. What that means to you is that 98% of your visitors are leaving without buying. That's a colossal amount of potential leads you are just letting slip away.

Suppose, for example, you were on the beach passing out flyers for a brand new ocean side condominium. And your boss agreed to pay you 10 cents for every flyer you passed out. Would you let 98% of the people walk by you without trying to give them a flyer? I don't think so. Why would you do the same thing on your web site? You wouldn't if you knew the repercussions.

There is an easy way to capture some of that 98% who are leaving your web site

For instance, place a f.orm on your website or an email link pointing to your autoresponder, offering visitors to subscribe to your mailing list. In return, offer them something for free. It might be a free report, an ezine, a special discount, a coupon, a course and so on... Anything free.

Visitors may not buy from you the first time. They may even be targeted, eager and interested in your offer, but fail to buy because of a lack of time, lack of money, lack of trust, lack of information or maybe they just got distracted. Whatever the reason they didn't buy don't take it personally.

Just try to capture the lead!

You spent all that money and effort in getting them to visit your website in the first place... Why not capitalize on your in.vestment and get the most "mileage" out of your visitors?

If you don't try to capture your visitors emails while they're at your website, you will most likely l.ose these prospects forever. You want to keep them coming back or stay in touch with them! Once you collect email addresses from your autoresponder, add them to your prospect list and send them updates, news and (obviously) product offers. Your list is a virtual goldmine.

"5 Opt-In List Cash Making Secrets That Gurus NEVER Want You To Find Out About!"

Listen up: below you're going to find the 5 lessons that should help you pull-in $50,000 per month with e-mail marketing. They're all short, sweet and straight to the point! Enjoy them and let me know what you think about these opt-in list cash making tips, all right?

Lesson #1 - How You Too Can Quickly Make Obscene Profits From Tiny Opt-in Lists

The first step is to sign-up with an autoresponder service. Forget about email management software, you need an autoresponder service loaded with all the benefits and features that Gurus are using. This will help you to profit big time from tiny opt-in lists like I'll explain further.

The autoresponder service I'm proudly using is TrafficWave and I highly recommend that you use it as well!

I won't talk about its benefits and features now, you can read about them yourself, what I really need you to understand is this... obscene amounts of profits can only be generated from tiny opt-in lists. Forget about huge opt-in lists. Your focus is to create tiny opt-in lists targeted on very tight niches. And you need lots of such opt-in lists... I have at least 9 tiny opt-in lists and I have just started!

The reality is... a tiny opt-in list targeted on a specific sub-niche topic is way more powerful than a huge opt-in list on a general subject. Here's an example:

tiny opt-in list targeted on a specific sub-niche topic = how to make money with ClickBank Marketplace

huge opt-in list on a general subject = affiliate marketing

The first list is going to bring you more profits because the subscribers you're targeting are 100% interested in a specific affiliate program - ClickBank. You get the idea, ok?

Here's how you can make big profits from tiny opt-in lists...

Create at least one follow-up e-mail per week - within a year you're going to have 48 e-mail messages blasted automatically by your autoresponder to your opt-in list. I don't know if any Guru out there has an autoresponder sequence with at least 48 e-mails on it. Try this and you'll soon be able to generate loads of CASH online. Your profits will grow over and over and over again.

HINT: those weekly e-mails you're going to send must be packed with more content than advertising. Make sure the content you're sending is of top-notch quality. Keep the advertising at 1 or 2 products in the same e-mail.

Remember: original & exclusive content always outscores any other type of content.

Your second step is to brainstorm various topics of sub-niche lists in your general niche and decide on which one to create content around.

Lesson #2 - 3 Deadly Opt-in List Profit Pulling Myths

Face it... how many times did you hear these facts?

FACT #1 - email marketing is DEAD. You can't make money online with opt-in lists anymore.

FACT #2 - email marketing is not important. Focus on SEO, Blogs, etc...

FACT #3 - email marketing is for Gurus only. You need huge opt-in lists to make a living online.

Well, to be honest with you, I've heard such statements for so many times that I'm sick and tired of such people who have no clue on what they're talking about.

Listen up - you're going to hear these type of affirmations in online message boards, forums, etc... I must let you in on a secret: the people behind those myths are clueless people who make no bucks online or scam Gurus who want to sell you their brand new product through their opt-in list. You don't have to be scared, ok?!

Here's why: first of all, clueless people can't teach you how to make money online. Secondly, scam artists out there are using email marketing to sell you their product... do you think their product makes them more money than their opt-in list? Yup, you got that right, their e-mail list is the KING!

Lesson #3 - How You Can Triple Your Opt-in List In 72 Hours Or Less

This tactic it's so powerful that you'll be amazed by its simplicity.

Here's what you need to do: find 10 opt-in list publishers in the same target audience (niche) like yours and propose them a solo mail swap. The key here is that you run their solo mailing to your list and viceversa. They run your solo mailing to their opt-in list. In exchange you both get subscribers or sales from each other lists.

Here's how to make this joint venture (solo mailing swap) proposal truly profitable. Create your solo mailing short, sweet and to the point. Five or six paragraphs is enough. Focus on getting the opt-in leads and not the sale. The sale will come from your email follow-ups and the profits from your autoresponder sequences.

I highly recommend you create an eCourse and offer it free in the solo mailing you're going to write for the joint venture proposal. If I'd want to triple my opt-in list within 72 hours I'd search for 10 partners in the email marketing niche that publish eCourses on this topic (how to profit with opt-in lists) and create a solo email where I offer the eCourse for free.

Lesson #4 - 5 Subject Lines That Can Double Your E-mail Open Rate

It is quite obvious... if you want your e-mail to get read, you need to make sure your leads (subscribers) are opening it first. Here are 5 subject lines that can double your e-mail open rate:

(first name) - did you get this?

    (first name) - feedback needed

(first name) - read this now...

(first name) - are you serious?

(first name) - I'm sick of this...

HINT: These subject lines work in any niche!

I've noticed that subject lines where you put "-" after the subscriber's first name work better than "," or " ".

Here's an example to explain my point:

(first name) - did you get this?

(first name), did you get this?

(first name) did you get this?

I have no clue why the first subject line works best, you'll have to figure it out for yourself. Test it, depending on your niche, some subject lines could work better than the others in other niches!

Lesson #5 - How To Avoid Spam Filters And Still Profit Big Time

Believe it or not, if you want your e-mail to get read and open, you need to avoid the spam filters first.

Most ISPs are watching for certain words in your subject line and e-mail body. Here are some words that you need to 'tweak', so pay attention to them if you want to profit big time from opt-in lists:

==> buy, order, purchase, money, free, discount, spam, remove, unsubscribe

These are just 1% of the words that ISP spam filters are watching after. If you are using such words in your e-mails, I suggest you tweak them so you can trick (avoid) these ISP spam filters.

Tactic # 1 - let a space between the characters. Here's an example:

b u y, re move, un subscribe, etc...

Tactic # 2 - add certain characters to these words. Here's an example:

    *buy*, 'remove', (un subscribe), etc...

Here's one final tactic - keep your e-mails short and to the point. I suggest that each e-mail content you create you upload it on a web page (just like I'm doing it with this eCourse!). Take this eCourse of mine like a real-life example and adopt the TACTICS I'm using.

Did you know I wrote this eCourse within 90 minutes?! If you see any typos please let me know. Now you know why there might be some errors in this eCourse.
