Welcome back to Lesson 6 today.
I guessed by the time you read this, you should have
finished doing the steps required in lesson 5.
If you havent, then you should go back and take a look at
lesson 5 now so you would not missed out on generating the
huge automatic stream of subscribers to your list for free.
In todays lesson, youll learn more about how to get more
email addresses into your list by making only a few small
adjustments here and there.
There are a lot of ways to get more email addresses but you
will be learning the 5 most effective methods that are being
used successfully by many marketers, including me.
1) Setting up an effective sales copy
First and foremost, youll have to send your subscribers the
best offer possible, presented in the best possible light.
To accomplish this, have to create effective sales copy.
There are 5 basic parts to an effective sales copy.
- Voice/style
Be yourself. You need to sound like yourself in your own
style as if you are in a conversation with your best friend.
Be friendly, but not too personal.
- Grammar, punctuation, and spelling
Small numbers of mistakes are forgivable but when you sent
out horribly written sales copy, youre digging your own
grave for your credibility. So always run a spell checker
through your sales copy before you send it out.
- Present benefits instead of features
Your subscribers want to know how your product will benefit
them. For instance, Will it save them time/money? Will it
bring more vitality to them?
Remember, most consumers purchase products that they desire
and NOT products they need. The strong emotional buying
impulse often wins against any other rational thought
processes.
- Useful content
First, you will try your best possible effort to win your
subscribers over by providing them with high quality
information/content before you try to make any offers.
But your subscribers would not want to receive sales pitches
every single day of the week.
If you really want, you could try to bury an affiliate link
or two into your newsletter as long as it is of relevance to
your content and useful for your subscribers.
The best way to make your profits is through scarcity. Make
your offers such that your subscribers are looking forward
to receiving them rather than something easily predictable.
- Action Calls
When it comes to asking your subscribers to take action, do
not be shy about it. If you want them to purchase your
product or sign up for a membership, etc offer them the link
and tell them to go for it.
Sprinkle your links throughout your copy several time for
maximum effectiveness. For my own tests, Ive found out that
placing links three times in a copy is most effective - at
the beginning, in the middle, and at the bottom or in the
P.S.
2) Give something free to your subscribers
Give something as an incentive for your visitors to sign up.
It can be an ebook, e-course, coupons, etc
3) Bullet list of benefits
Organize all your benefits into a list so that it is easy
for your visitors to read them. Remember, we tend to skim
over webpages before stopping to look at something that
catches our eyes; your visitors do that too.
Using a bullet list of benefits will immediately catches
their eyes and provides them an overview on how you can help
them.
4) Bullet list of objection killers
Using another bullet list that consists of all the objection
killers will eliminate any objections that your visitors
might have when they are considering to sign up for your
newsletter, etc.
For instance, you can use this:
You'll hear from us (and only us) once a week. If you get
sick of us, you can easily say "no thanks"
5) Dont ask to "Join" or "Subscribe"
Instead use a strong call of action like "Get Downloads" etc
to reinforce your marketing message.
